To ensure your skin is in the best possible condition for your "painless" session, please follow these steps 24 hours before your appointment:
Step 1: Hydrate Internally Drink at least 2 liters of water. A well-hydrated body has a more active lymphatic system, which is essential for flushing away the shattered ink particles.
Step 2: Cleanse the Area Gently wash the tattoo with a mild, fragrance-free soap. Do not apply any lotions, perfumes, or fake tans to the area. The skin must be completely "naked."
Step 3: Avoid Blood Thinners Unless medically necessary, avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and alcohol. These can thin the blood and increase the chance of minor bruising.
Step 4: Shave if Necessary If the tattoo is located in an area with dense hair, please gently shave the site. This ensures the laser energy is directed entirely into the skin and not absorbed by surface hair.
Step 5: Sun Protection Ensure the tattoo has not been exposed to direct sunlight or tanning beds. We cannot treat sun-damaged or freshly tanned skin.
Step 6: Eat a Light Meal Have a small snack or meal before you arrive to keep your blood sugar stable during your session.
